(Parma) -- More changes are coming to the former Parmatown Mall.

Phillips Edison & Company, which owns what is now called The Shoppes at Parma, has entered into a deal with Parma City Council to create 700 construction jobs and up to 2,000 retail and office jobs over the next ten years.

Plans for the mall's renovation include a new Dick’s Sporting Goods, an expansion of the current Wal-Mart store, and new retail stores between the two anchor stores.

Phillips Edison also plans to tear down the old Macy’s store and a portion of the enclosed mall.
