Coach Tress applies for YSU post

(Youngstown) - Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel has applied to become the next president at Youngstown State University.

Tressel led the Penguin football team into national prominence winning multiple national championships before taking over at Ohio State University.  

Tressel has also applied to replace retiring University of Akron President Louis Proenza.  

Tressel is currently an Executive Vice-President at the University of Akron.  He is one of fifteen applicants for the job at the U-of-A.
