(Cleveland) -- Thousands braved the snow New Year's Eve for the big celebration on Public Square, and one of them was Michelle Knight.
Knight, one of the three women held captive for about a decade by Ariel Castro, was brought out on the stage as the band Krewella took the stage.
Knight has recently signed a deal to help write a book about her confinement, and she has also told the story to TV's Dr. Phil.
Tuesday night's event was sponored by The Ohio Homecoming Group. Cleveland native Drew Carey was the evening's host.
