Luke Bryan poked fun at fellow country star Blake Shelton as he explained a lyric in his newest single.

Bryan recently released “Word On The Street,” written by Payton Smith, Josh Thompson and Justin Ebach. The song, which inspired the name of Bryan’s 2026 headlining tour, includes the line: “B.S. free in B.F.E.” Bryan took a moment to explain what that means in a clip he shared on Instagram and TikTok on Friday (February 27).

“‘B.S. free’ is ‘Blake Shelton free,’” Bryan said. “B.F.E., that means you are in [expletive] Egypt, a long way out there. Yeah, it’s hard to get found in Egypt. So, if I’m in B.F.E., and I’m Blake Shelton free, then I’m truly happy.”

Bryan, who has a history of playful jokes with Shelton, tagged the Oklahoma-born artist in his caption. He said, “guess that makes you LB [Luke Bryan] free in BFE?” Shelton has not responded as of publication time.

Bryan’s “Word On The Street Tour” includes Drew Baldridge, Karley Scott Collins, Lanie Gardner, Randall King, Zach John King, Shane Profitt, RaeLynn, Lauren Watkins, Jake Worthington and DJ Rock on select dates. Before that, the “Play It Again” hitmaker will take the stage at festivals and bring his annual “Farm Tour” to the West Coast for the second consecutive year. See the full list of dates below.

Bryan is also part of the star-studded lineup of the 2026 iHeartCountry Festival. The show also includes Kane Brown, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, Shaboozey, Dylan Scott, Russell Dickerson, Gretchen Wilson, Chase Matthew and Lauren Alaina. iHeartRadio's Bobby Bones is returning as the event’s host. The show will take place on May 2 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Tickets to the show are available as of January 23. Fans across the country will be able to catch all the action as the 2026 iHeartCountry Festival will be broadcast live across iHeartCountry stations nationwide and the free iHeartRadio app on Saturday, May 2nd at 8pm ET/5pm PT (7pm CT).
