Chris Young has debuted an emotional video for his latest single, "Drowning." The video, which was directed by Chris, was shot at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, during his headlining show following the tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. During his performance Chris asked his fans to hold up their phone lights to honor those who were lost during the awful event.
"Drowning" was inspired by the loss of Chris' close friend, Adam Carnes, and the video opens up with him holding up a picture of Adam. Then, throughout the clip, other folks hold up pictures of lost loved ones.
"I've been so amazed at the reaction to this song," Chris shares. "I wrote it with two friends as a moment of healing and had no idea it would touch so many people before it was even chosen as a single." He adds, "The video, combining so many personal moments alongside a live performance, totally embodies that, and I can't wait for everyone to see it." Check out the heartfelt video below!
