Just a short time ago WGAR learned that Granger Smith is grieving the loss of his youngest child. Granger shared that his 3-year-old son River Kelly died following a tragic accident where doctors gave their best efforts to revive him, but they were unsuccessful.
Granger posted a statement on Twitter and Instagram this afternoon saying "Our family is devastated and heartbroken, but we take solace in knowing he is with his Heavenly Father. If there are words to say more, I cannot find them in this moment,” Granger concluded. “Love the ones close to you. There has never been a more difficult moment for us than this.”
Granger and his wife Amber have requested that those willing to give, please send donations to Dell Children's Medical Center in River's name.
