Country Music: A Film by Ken Burns comes to a T.V. set near you on Sunday, September 15. The 16-hour, eight-part series will feature never-before-seen footage, interviews and photos only on WVIZ/PBS. Revered filmmaker Ken Burns and his staff set out to find unique stories about those who have impacted the history of country music, including those of: Rosanne Cash, Dolly Parton and Sara Carter. But, the impact of country music went beyond country in this documentary with stories from Wynton Marsalis. He shares how DeFord Bailey, Ray Charles and Charley Pride were accepted into the genre. The documentary will premiere at 8/7c.
