Pro Tip: If you hire a contractor to paint words on a street, make sure they can spell.
Drivers in a town in the Berkshires were surprised when they drove into a school zone last Thursday and saw they were in a “SCOHOL” zone.
Contractors were hired by Pittsfield, Massachusetts to paint the zone warning on a roadway.
City staff left before the word was painted, but obviously assumed it would be a no brainer.
Not so much. The town got the bill for the project the next morning and shot off a quick email saying “we’re not paying until this is fixed.”
