Gabby Barrett canceled her upcoming performance dates as she overcomes an illness, the “The Good Ones” singer announced in a statement shared on her Instagram story on Friday (July 7). Barrett’s statement reads:
“I’m sad to announce that I have to cancel this weekend of dates due to illness. I hate this part of it, but at the same time it’s best to let my voice and body recover rather than pushing through this time. I always strive to give my fans the best show possible when I step on stage and am looking forward to being back soon. Love y’all.”
Barrett was set to perform in Bay City, Michigan; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Canandaigua, New York over the weekend, tour dates on her official website show. The performances were also set to include Ashley McBryde on Friday, and Kane Brown and Restless Road on Saturday (July 8) and Sunday (July 9).
Barrett has been building anticipation for her sophomore album, following Goldmine in 2020. She recently premiered a sweet music video for “Glory Days,” featuring her husband, fellow American Idol alum Cade Foehner, and the couple’s two young children, Baylah May and Augustine Boone.
“This song means so much to me and is about all the little things that make my life so full,” Barrett previously said in a statement. “These are my ‘Glory Days’ and I’m so excited to introduce my sophomore album with it.”
