Luke Bryan recently shared a story about how he was mistaken for Blake Shelton in public, and Shelton posted a hilarious response on Friday (March 21).
Bryan told the story earlier this week. He and his son stopped at a gas station to pick up some snacks before going fishing, and at the gas station, Bryan noticed a “big guy, tatted up,” recognize him. That man, however, asked Bryan, “you’re not Blake Shelton, are you? …You gotta get that all the time.” After the Mind Of A Country Boy hitmaker was told he looks like Shelton’s “doppelgänger,” the man asked, “could you imagine what it would be like to have Blake Shelton’s money?”
Shelton’s response picks up where Bryan left off. After Bryan laughs about the man’s question, the clip — set to Gwen Stefani’s 2004 hit, “Rich Girl” — cuts to Shelton flushing a toilet. He moves the camera to focus on an air freshener made to resemble Bryan. Shelton wrote in his caption, “it costs a lot to smell this good….”
Commenters on Instagram and TikTok said “I have never laughed this hard in my life,” “I knew there had to come a response to Luke's video,” “the song though,” and “could you imagine what it would be like to have Luke Bryan’s money lol,” among others.
