Lauren Alaina shared heartfelt posts as she marked two “firsts” on Father’s Day on Sunday (June 15).

The country star posted sweet photos of her husband, Cam Arnold, and the couple’s newborn daughter, who was born days earlier. Daughter Beni Doll Arnold arrived on Wednesday (June 11). Alaina shared the first photos of Beni Doll on Friday (June 13), and surprised fans by releasing a new ballad titled “Heaven Sent.”

“Happy first Father’s Day to my husband,” Alaina wrote in a caption on Instagram. “I have always said one of my things that made you the one for me was that I knew you were going to be the best dad ever. I had no idea. Watching you see (crying picture 😭), meet, hold, change, swaddle and love our daughter has transformed my heart and deepened my love for you in a way that I didn’t even know was even possible. Beni is the luckiest little girl in the world. I am the luckiest mom. We love you so much. Thank you for being ours. 🥹💗”

Alaina also shared a heartfelt tribute to her late father, J.J. Suddeth, who died in July 2024. The Georgia-born American Idol star marked the first Father’s Day without him in another post, set to “Heaven Sent.”

“My first Father’s Day without you. If I could call you up there in Heaven, I would say thank you for sending me my little girl,” she said. “I would ask you if you’ve learned to play Heaven Sent on guitar yet. You would immediately FaceTime me and show me that you have. You would complain to me about how hard the guitar lick in the intro is (blame Hardy for that lol), but you would nail it. Until I can actually talk to you again, I will remember laughing with you, singing with you, fishing with you and throwing you a pinky. Love you, dad 🤍”

Alaina previously shared that “it has been such a hard year losing my dad in July. And we weren’t even trying to get pregnant. I truly believe my dad got up there to heaven and said ‘we gotta somehow get a baby involved.’” She said after welcoming her firstborn baby that she “will never be the same. You, to your dad and me, are absolute perfection. We are honored God chose us to be your parents. Thank you to everyone for all of the love, prayers and support for our precious daughter.”
