Thomas Rhett delivered an intimate performance during a surprise pop-up event on Wednesday night (April 29) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The country superstar took the stage at Odie’s, a venue that Old Dominion opened in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood last year. Rhett hinted at the one-night-only show on social media, and fans quickly flocked to Odie’s, forming “a line around the block and packed the room to standing-room-only as buzz spread throughout the city,” states a press release issued Thursday (April 30). Rhett delivered renditions of his career-spanning hits, surprised the audience with Jordan Davis, revealed an unreleased song, and more throughout the “Secret Set.”

Rhett, who recently released a collaboration with Marshmello, said the concert “makes me wanna do a ‘pop up’ show more often,” he wrote in a caption on Instagram. “Nashville, that was off the charts. Thanks [Jordan Davis] for hopping up there with me to sing ‘Ain’t A Bad Life’ … for the first time. Also… shoutout to the fan that requested ‘Whatcha Got in That Cup.’”

Rhett’s pop-up show takes place as he gets ready for his headlining “The Soundtrack To Life Tour,” which includes two co-headlining stadium shows with global pop star Niall Horan. Kashus Culpepper and Emily Ann Roberts will open those concerts at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, and at Hersheypark Stadium in Hersey, Pennsylvania. They’ll also serve as special guests with ERNEST, Zach John King, Vincent Mason and Conner Smith on select dates on Rhett’s “The Soundtrack To Life Tour.” See the dates below.
