Costco is getting tough on non-members being in their stores.

If you happen to go with a member but aren’t one yourself, don’t stop by their food area.

A Redditor posted a sign in an Orlando store that said “Effective April 8, 2024, an active Costco membership card will be required to purchase items from our food court. You can join today. Please see our membership counter for details.”

The company has been cracking down hard on people sharing cards with friends and family, which they justify by saying “Costco is able to keep our prices as low as possible because our membership fees help offset our operational expenses, making our membership fee and structure important to us.”
