A stray dog in Pennsylvania has been rescued after spending several days with her head stuck in a plastic cheese ball bucket. The dog, now named Dallas Cheddar, was first spotted on Monday, but rescuers lost track of her until a drone operator spotted her a couple of days later. Canine Rescue of Central PA (CRCPA) confirms she was exhausted and dehydrated when they brought her in.
Rescue teams, including members of CRCPA, Find Toby in PA, and drone experts Dallas Fuhrman and Bill Fisher, worked for two days to track the pup. They finally caught up with her early Wednesday morning, when she was discovered deep in a cornfield, disoriented and still struggling with the container. Volunteers recorded the moment rescuers were able to comfort her and safely remove her from the field.
Dallas Cheddar was taken to Shores Veterinary Emergency Center, where she was treated for dehydration and a tick infestation. The rescue group says she’s getting urgent medical care and asked supporters for help with her treatment costs. CRCPA says Dallas isn’t up for adoption yet, but they’ll be posting updates on her recovery on social media.
