Teen Fixes Old Computers To Give To Refugees:

Johnston, Iowa, 16-year-old Kathir Kalyanaraman dedicates his time to refurbishing old computers and giving them to refugees in Iowa through his nonprofit, TechGift.

He collaborates with businesses and individuals to collect outdated computers, update their software, and ensure they have new batteries and chargers.

His efforts have significantly impacted the lives of refugees, including Olena Hubkova, a Ukrainian refugee who, with the help of a computer from TechGift, obtained certification as a nursing assistant and secured a job.

Driven by the difference his project makes in people's lives, Kathir plans to continue his nonprofit work, having already donated over 370 computers so far.
