A Thai woman is lucky to be alive after being wrapped by a python that was reported to be between 13 and 16 feet long.

64-year-old Arom Arunroj says she was in the kitchen doing the dishes when she “felt a sharp pain in her thigh.”

That’s when she looked down to see the python in the beginning stages of trying to take her down.

Soon after, it “coiled around her torso,” and squeezed her on the kitchen floor.

After an hour-and-a-half of screaming, a neighbor finally happened by and lent some assistance by calling authorities.

Cops were then able to pry the serpent loose through the use of a crowbar, which was used to hit the snake over the head until it released its grip. Arunroj was treated for “several bites,” but was otherwise unharmed.
