Egg prices are leading some opportunistic people to try to take advantage of a hot commodity.
Roughly 100,000 eggs were stolen form the back of a distribution trailer on Saturday in Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
The theft happened around 8:40 pm, and state police had no additional details yesterday.
The eggs, from Pete and Gerry’s Organics, are worth about $40,000, but that value will go up as the price of eggs continues to spike.
