DMV appointments are so tough to get in South Florida that they’re being treated like Taylor Swift concert tickets.
A network of scalpers hoarded free DMV appointments and resold them for up to $250.
Scalpers grabbed up the appointments using bots and fake accounts to exploit the system. It normally takes hours to talk with someone at the agency so people were willing to pay.
Officials are honing in on the suspects.
