If you find a dryer sheet chilling in your mailbox, don’t toss it.

Postal workers want their customers to know that they’re stashing scented sheets inside mailboxes to fend off angry yellowjackets that love dark, cozy spaces.

Turns out, wasps can’t stand the smell, so it’s a simple (and fragrant) way to avoid summer stings.

So give your mail carrier a break and let the lavender do its thing!
