Man Refused To Get Off The Roof Of A Strangers’ Home

Bangor Police needed the help of the fire department last week when a guy decided to climb onto a homeowner’s roof and wouldn’t come down.

The homeowners called police at 4:30 in the morning after hearing a noise on the roof.

Cops found Stephen Nason on the roof. The fire department raised a basket to get Nason, but instead, he jumped into it, grabbed an axe in the basket, and headed back onto the roof.

A crisis negotiator was called in, and Nason was taken into custody and then sent to a hospital for mental evaluation.

The homeowners are fine.
